With over two decades of financial advisory experience, spanning the banking sector, Dr. Dahiru Muhammed currently serves as the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Technology/Information Transfer (PICTT), where he leads strategic efforts to promote industrial growth, facilitate trade expansion, establish co- investment hubs, and advance national food security through targeted policy frameworks and collaborative projects.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Dahiru Muhammed held key executive positions, including serving as Regional Bank Manager, where he oversaw multi-branch operations, ensured regulatory compliance, and significantly improved financial performance. He also served as Chairman, Nigeria Czech Republic Trade and Investment Council and Special Adviser to EVC of National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure NASENI.
Dr. Dahiru Muhammed has several notable accomplishments under his belt, including Delta 2 Program designed with the aim of funding and enabling research, development and innovation of projects and commercialisation; he also initiated the Irrigate Nigeria Project. Through this initiative, he has driven strategic partnerships for the local manufacturing of irrigation equipment—enhancing agricultural productivity and advancing national food security. He currently leads efforts to strengthen agricultural resilience through irrigation-focused investments and integrated value chain collaborations.
Dr. Dahiru Muhammed holds both a Master’s and a Doctorate in Business Administration. He also holds a certificate in Strategic Leadership from Harvard University. His professional affiliations include: Fellow, Chartered Institute of Loans and Risk Management of Nigeria; Fellow, Chartered Certified Forensic Accountant/Auditor (FCCrFA); Fellow, Chartered Certified Fraud Investigators (FCCFI); Fellow, Association of Chartered Certified System Accountants (ACCSA), USA; and Member, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).
